We went to Discovery Park for Family Home Evening last week. We really enjoy going to parks even though Gabbie can't do anything on her own yet. It's fun to see her fascinated with everything that is going on around her.
Here she was trying out the tire tunnel. We were trying to get her to look up at the camera so we could get a picture but she was more interested in playing with the wood chips...
Gabbie and Daddy playing with the spin thing. They were making different people and animals by turning each little section. (I have no idea what it is really called so I just made something up)
Swinging by herself for the first time...She wasn't quite sure about it at first but then she started to have a ball...
Gabbie and Mommy sliding down the slide together...
Looking up at Daddy...
A little 'Worker Bee' sitting down to take a break from all the hard work she has been doing...
And now...the Queen Bee sitting on her throne waiting to hear from her workers...
Playing on top of the monkey bars...
The one picture where Gabbie is sort of looking at the camera while sitting in the tire tunnel. (It took awhile to get a picture this close to her looking)
Eating french fries for dinner before we went inside to play on the fun playground.
Daddy and Gabbie playing with the bells to make some pretty music.
'Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let down your hair!' Gabbie was more interested in finishing the rest of her fry then in paying attention to Mom with the camera and playing. We eventually had to take it away from her because she didn't care about anything else.
Beautiful little girl sitting in the beehive.
If you get the chance, go visit Discovery Park...It is very cool. When I was teaching, we took the kids there for lunch and playing during one of our field trips. They loved it. They even have a little kids section where they have the tire tunnel, beehives, and other way fun stuff.
