Pippi Longstocking

So, today was "dress as your favorite character from a book" day at Christy's school. She decided to go as Pippi Longstocking. We got some pretty good pictures of her this morning:

Gabs had fun watchin' her Mama getting dressed.

I think that Christy really liked her character.

At times I worried she was going to take the role a little too seriously.

All the teachers loved her outfit, though.

Easter!

I wanted to show everyone my pretty Easter Dress.

I had sooo much fun celebrating easter with my Mom and Dad.

On Saturday I got to go to my Great Great Grandma's house for a easter party.

The bigger kids got to search for Easter Eggs... I think that Grandma was the biggest kid of all.

I got to swing with Daddy, and I got to wear my fun sun hat!

It was also the first time that I got to have a picture with my Daddy, my Grandma, and my Great Grandma. I sure wish I had some sunglasses too.

Easter was so fun guys!

Gabbie's first Jazz game

A friend of ours recently gave us some more tickets to a Jazz game. We had, likely, the best tickets we will ever have to a game: 7th row.

This time, we decided that we would take Gabbie with us.

She had soooo much fun!

She loved looking around at all of the people!

And looking at the lights....

But the noise was a little scary at time...

Our whole family had a blast.

I think that Gabbie's favorite part of going to the Jazz game, though...,

...was getting to ride in Daddy's jacket...

Daddy liked it too...

I think that Gabbie's favorit part of being in the Jacket was sucking on the zipper.

She loved that thing!

Gabbie Girl is growing up!

Our Gabbie Girl is growing up so fast we don't know what we're going to do about it.

On Saturday, she decided that she was smart enough to hold the bottle on her own.

We were so dang proud of her!

She also really likes sucking on anything she can get her mouth on.

If she could, she'd even suck the camera.

She also recently learned that she could wiggle her feet out of her PJ's.

Her funnest new trick is when she plays in her new Exersaucer.

She loves standin' in there...

and playin' with the toys.

She loves pushing her feet around.

And playing with the colorful toys!

Most of all, she just loves sitting up and seeing everything... She's getting so strong!
(and Smiley!)

Gabbie's new trick

Gabbie wanted to show everyone one of her new tricks:

She is a little camera shy though...

"Mom, I don't want to show those guys..."

"Okay fine, but let me work up to it..."

"Do I have to Mama?..."

"... Ha... tricked ya..."

"Lllllaaaa..."

"Ha... Mama, I'm doin' it!... Ha Ha..."

"Mom... Dad's still takin' pictures..."

She really likes sticking that toungue out at us...

Here are some other fun pictures we got of her:

Sleepy Gabbie.

And lazy Gabbie.

Daddy is so much Fun!

I love my dad so much. He is much more fun than my mom. He lets me play lots of fun stuff with him. He reads his books to me every night after my bath so I can get ready for bed. I love to tell him all about my day at my cousins house. One of my favorite places to sleep is in the crook of his arm. Daddy doesn't like it when I do this but whenever I get to sleep in the bed with him and mommy, I like to nuzzle as close to him as I can and push my nose into his armpit. Daddy is GREAT!

After a long day of eating, sleeping, and playing I love to sleep in my daddy's arms. All I need is my thumb and dad's arms.

Daddy helped me to have a new experience the other day. We were getting ready to clean the house and dad put me on his shoulders. I didn't know what to make of it at first so I just kind of sat there and drooled on his head. Then I realized that it wasn't to bad to be up high. The best part of the whole thing though was getting to suck on daddy's hair and make it all slobbery.

Another thing that Daddy did with me on Saturday was clean. I wanted to be held but they needed to get the house cleaned so I got to ride on daddy while he cleaned up the living room and my bedroom. I think daddy was more excited about it than me. What do you think? I can't wait to be a big girl and play with my daddy in the front yard. Mommy thinks I am so cute!

Trickster

Gabbie takes after her mom in that she hates cameras. Lately she tricks mommy into getting the camera out because she is doing something cute. As soon as she realizes that I have the camera out and pointed at her, she will clam up and just stare at the camera. It's really funny to watch. These are some of her videos where she was talking up a storm and I wanted to record it so she decided that she needed to stop. I guess she only wants Mom and Dad to hear her talk. One day we will get a good video that shows her really talking. Until then though, enjoy our tricky girl.

Happy Anniversary

Kyle and I recently celebrated our one year anniversary on President's Day weekend. We took the weekend off from everything in Spanish Fork and rented a room in Salt Lake. Gabbie got to stay in Tooele with Aunt Missie, Uncle Justin, and Cousins Millie and Maddie. We were worried that it was going to be really hard to go the whole weekend without her for the first time. We weren't even able to make it the whole time.

The place we stayed in was really ghetto and had dirty dishes so Kyle and I took the one clean bowl and poured in some cereal to eat breakfast. The only problem was that it was a HUGE bowl. It was really funny to look at so Kyle decided to take some pictures.

It looks like there was more cereal in there than there really was. Kyle loves to have tons of milk so all the cereal you see on top was basically all that was in there.

Like I said, we didn't make it all weekend without our little girl. We dropped her off Friday night then spent all day Saturday without her and missed her so much. Sunday morning we drove down to Tooele so we could go to church with Missie and Justin. We had decided Saturday night that we were going to pick her up and bring her up to Salt Lake with us. Can you tell that we are new parents?

Our little girlie was really excited to get to spend the night with us in a different place. Her she is flying through the air like Wonder woman.

Man I love my thumb.

It is such hard work to be a superhero!

Gabbie loves baths as we have previously posted. She got the chance when we were at the 'hotel' to go for a swim in the tub with Daddy. She wasn't so sure about it at first because usually she gets to lay down with much less water.
However, as you can tell, she loved it. Any kind of water makes her really happy.

The only thing Gabs hates about her bath is getting her face wet. It kind of freaks her out a little bit. Mommy tries to keep the water out of her face but Daddy lets her get it in her face all the time. During this bath, Dad dunked her for the first time. She went all the way under and was not really happy about it. After about a minute, she was great again and really enjoying her bath time.
