There is not a whole lot of things you want to go out and do during a Houston summer. We've had super humid, hot weather the last three months. It has rained once in the last six months. The average temperature is usually around 97-100. To top it off, the air conditioner in both of our cars is broken. Needless to say, it's not a fun experience for us to drive any distance. Luckily we can get the cars fixed as soon as we close on the house, which should be within the next week or two.
The only way to stay cool is to stay wet.
Gabs and Noah got invited to go swim at the Y with some of their friends. They were both super stars. Gabs kept putting her whole head under the water and tried to go deeper and deeper. Noah was just about as adventuresome as she was.

When we don't drive to a local splash pad to stay cool, we hook up the swimming pool in the backyard. This awesome pool was a must at the start of the season, so around March. We got it and then about a week later, our lawn guys came and whacked two huge holes in it with their weed whackers. I was not very impressed. We can't wait until we can do our own lawn and if anything gets broken then it is our own fault.

Wow, Gabbie was so brave in the water! That's great! They definitely look like they are having a blast. And I love that picture of Noah just sitting in the chair... so sweet!
We pretty much live at the pool too. I would have been SO mad at the lawn guys. Noah is getting SO big!
